Pastor Jim Richards

Pastor Jim Richards was born in the Philadelphia area of Montgomery county and spent much of his teenage summers here at the shore. Coming back here was truly coming home. He has served churches in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Maryland and Indiana through these last 25 years. Prior to answering God's call to ministry, he taught middle school science outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he also was athletic trainer, a girls' basketball coach and a boys' and girls' tennis coach. He also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard as a medic.

Pastor Jim and his wife Jackie live in Del Haven. Their two daughters, one grandson and one granddaughter live in Illinois.

His major interests in ministry include mission work in Guatemala and locally, hospital visitation, chancel drama, preaching and teaching. Outside of the church, he is a model railroader, a Civil War buff, and he hopes to learn how to salt water fish.
