This program serves 30 or more children in neighboring Wildwood, ages 3 to 16.  On Friday evenings, they are picked up by van and taken to a local church where they spend a couple of hours that they look forward to all week.  The evening begins at five o'clock with singing, followed by a Bible story, and then the children sit down to a hot meal.  After supper they have time with a craft, which usually has a spiritual message.  The children are then driven back home, taking with them leftover food and a treat.  The program has been going on for many years, and alumni come back as adults to visit.

The program was started by a member of our church and is sponsored by our church and Union Chapel of Cape May Point, which maintains and operates the van.  It is supported by contributions from Union Chapel, The Christ Child Society, several individuals and our Deacons Mission Fund.  Volunteers from our church and the community transport the children, teach the Bible lessons and crafts and cook the meals.
