The Jazz Vespers program at First Presbyterian puts on a free jazz concert once a month throughout the year.  This series draws on the large number of world-class jazz musicians living in the Cape May area.  Jazz Vespers has been going on at First Presbyterian for about fifteen years and continues to grow in popularity.  Many concerts are sold out and we now have a list of new performers who are hoping to join the series.

Our concerts typically include two musical sets, separated by a short intermission containing a spiritual message.  The series has two goals:  one religious and one cultural.  Our primary goal is to bring as many Cape May residents and visitors into our church as possible.  It is our hope that through exposure to the music, our inspirational messages and our church life displays, some audience members will be brought closer to God and will consider attending our church.  Our secondary goal is to enrich the cultural life of our community by promoting an art form that is clearly valued by our residents.
